The VISION of the National Trends and Services facet is to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services through advocacy, education, and service. Our MISSION is to empower our chapters to effectively empower the communities in which we work. Our GOALS include increasing the number of sustainable, measurable programs; expanding collaborative partnerships; and extending our existing initiatives to include communities with the greatest need.

The Mount Rose (MD) Chapter of the Links Incorporated, through its National Trends and Services Facet, has created “Empower Your Reach”, a transformational program that serves as a catalyst for change for our youth, promoting individual and community empowerment. This program aligns with the National Initiatives: Linkages to Financial Wellness, Social Action initiative/Link Up the Vote! 

In 2023, we partnered with The Foundation for the Advancement of Music and Education (FAME) to create an empowering program for our youth that holistically aligns with the focus of the Links National initiatives and equips them with tools to prepare for life beyond the shelter of their homes and classrooms. This program engages our youth (ages 13-18) in skillfully planned monthly workshops to “Empower” their future impact.

This impactful work has been celebrated and recognized at the national level by The Links, Incorporated, with two Best Practices awards for the EmpowerHer Programs.
